Strange outcome of the 19th season of the Macedonian First Football League. Last year’s second league club Shkendija Tetovo won the title, while the most famous Macedonian football clubs Vardar and Pelister are relegated.

The point won on the match Lokomotiva – Vlazrimi is deducted for Vlazrimi and there could be additional sanctions for the club.

Vardar saved the last chance for surviving with the away win against Sileks. Shkendijahas advantage of seven points after the draw between Renova and Rabotnicki and the draw of Metalurg against Horizont Turnovo.

Macedonian First League – Round 28
There have been no changes on the standings after the Round 28 of the Macedonian First League matches were played today. Top placed Shkendija, Metalurg and Rabotnicki won, Renova drew away to Turnovo, same as Skopje and Sileks, while Vardar and Pelister continue to drown towards the Second League.
Initiative for expanding the league
Part of the delegates from the assembly of the Football Federation of Macedonia have started an initiative for expansion of the Macedonian First League (Prva Liga) from 12 to 16 clubs. According to the initiative, the Macedonian Second League (Vtora Liga) will be split on two leagues/regions.

After the win over Vardar in the opening match from the Round 27 of the Macedonian First League, Shkendija is firmly stepping towards winning their first title. Together withe Vardar, Pelister is drowning down towards the Second league after the big defeat away to Metalurg.
Macedonian Cup 1/2 Final – 1st leg
The first leg matches from the semi finals of the Macedonian Cup were played today. Both matches Tikvesh – Teteks and Metalurg – Napredok ended with scoreless draws and the finalists will be decided in the second matches.
Ljupco Dimovski named as new coach of Horizont Turnovo
After the resignation of Shefki Arifovski, the coach Ljupco Dimovski has been named as his replacement in Horizont Turnovo.
