Antonio Antoniev moved to Unirea Slobozia

Antonio Antoniev left Bregalnica Shtip and signed a deal with Unirea Slobozia from Romania.

18-year-old Antonio Antoniev started his international  career by signing a contract with Unirea Slobozia from the second Romanian league. The right fullback, who is also able to play as a defensive midfielder, is a product of Bregalnica’s youth system.

Antoniev, born on 20.10.1994 in Shtip, is a former Macedonian youth national team player. He has five caps for our U17 and two for our U19. Born in the year 1994 he is no longer eligible to play for one of these teams, but he could play for our U21 in the upcoming two cycles. Interestingly, besides Antoniev with Boban Nikolov there is another Shtip-born player from the same generation who is currently under contract in Romania. Nikolov started as a youth player in Romania and recently made his pro debut for Viitorul. We wish both the best for their future.
