Angelovski announces squad to open Nations League (Updated)

National team coach Igor Angelovski has eventually revealed the list of summoned players for the opening two matches of the UEFA Nations League against Gibraltar and Armenia.

Angelovski summoned only 18 players for the upcoming Nations League matches against Gibraltar and Armenia. Among then is Arijan Ademi who yesterday got an injury while playing fir his Dinamo in the Champions League play-off. Also, Darko Velkovski has been injured for the whole summer, but he trains and he may be playable.

Both keepers Dimitrievski and Nilsson haven’t played for their clubs as the first wants to make a transfer while the later is a bench warmer.

Returnees after a while are left back Mite Cikarski and Egzon Bejtulai whose natural position is right back but can be suitable replacement at central defense.

Macedonia will first travel to face Gibraltar on 6 September at the Victoria stadium, while three days later will host Armenia in Skopje.

UPDATE: Arijan Ademi definitely had to be dropped due to the injury, so Angelovski summoned Vardar’s right back Kristijan Toshevski in order to have 18 players.
