Natasha Andonova has officially signed with Rosengård in Germany after departing her prior club earlier this month.
The 21-year-old attacker left Turbine after five years which saw her win four Bundesliga titles and two League cups. Her dream of winning the Champions League came up short, however, and now she will try to accomplish that with her new club from Sweden.
Andonova signed a two-year contract with Rosengård, the current table leaders in Sweden. The club is based in the city of Malmö and features players from many different nationalities, including Marta, the well known Brazilian player who won five consecutive “FIFA World Player of the Year” awards earlier in her career.
Andonova said the following about moving to Swedem, “After nearly 5 years in Germany, I’m happy to have a new challenge in my career. I joined Rosengård which I hope will be a great destination for getting better as a player. The club’s ambitions are winning the treble: the domestic league, cup and the Champions League. Those are very high goals, but the club has national team players from Sweden, Switzerland, Germany and England, meaning there is quality for achieving those big results.”
Natasha played for Borec and Tikveshanka in Macedonia before then departing the country. She was spotted by Turbine while playing for the women’s national team of Macedonia. Although only 21 years old, Andonova has already accumulated 32 caps for Macedonia. She debuted with the senior squad back in 2008, a month before she turned 15.
