Heckingbottom lauded the Prilep born star for a great performance which saw him score a goal against the team currently sat in 4th place in the Championship table. He told the British media: “A couple of his defensive positions were superb today. First-class, that’s a wide player. They’re the things we want to see over and over again.”

His goal saw Leeds go 2:1 up against Derby County, but unfortunately, it was not enough to see Leeds take the full 3 points from the game at Pride Park but the point has seen them keep level with Norwich City in the table. With more performances of this caliber, it is hoped that Alioski can get more starts at Leeds United and get his name out there for the world footballing media to see.

The goal itself was the result of a superb counter attack from the Leeds United team which came off the back of a Derby free kick from just outside the box. Samuel Sáiz lead the counter attack by storming down the right of the pitch with the ball before passing a through ball onto Alioski, who initially had his shot saved but followed it up with a fantastic diving header. The goal really was the result of a good link up between the two.
