In the last day of the summer transfer window national team attacker Aleksandar Trajkovski completed a move to Danish side Aalborg, eventually leaving Mallorca.

Trajkovski joins his new club on loan and Mallorca will continue to pay part of his salary. Our guess is that Trajkovski went in Denmark on the advice of Oscar Hiljemark who is now assistant coach at the club having ended his career at just 29 last years after several injuries. Hiljemark and Trajkovski played together for Palermo for 2,5 seasons before the Swede went to Genoa.
This move should be a relief for Aleks as he wasn’t getting a chance at Mallorca. Last season he featured at only 9 LaLiga2 matches and 2 in Copa del Rey playing a total of 345 minutes. He managed to score one goal in the Cup. The previous season wasn’t much better as well as he played 17 games with only 489 minutes, recording only one assist. Previous at Palermo he had his golden years constantly being one of the key players.
“Aleksandar Trajkovski is a player we have not been able to get close to earlier in the transfer window, but we have stuck to it and we are happy to now have an agreement in place. He he covers all offensive spots and thus becomes an extra complement to our other talented offensive players, and in general we are very pleased to have added Anders Hagelskjær, Louka Prip, Milan Makarić and Aleksandar Trajkovski in this transfer window, just like Casper Gedsted and Anosike Ementa has come up from the AaB Academy.” – says the club’s sporting director Inge André Olsen.
Trajkovski will wear the number 7 shirt in his new club where he will head to meet his new teammates after the WC qualifiers.
