Albania announces squad for qualifier against Macedonia

Albania hosts Macedonia on 5 September in the opening round of the qualifications for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Igor Angelovski already announced the Macedonian squad earlier last week, while his Italian colleague did the same today. He summoned 25 players of which some will features only for the friendly against Morocco scheduled for Wednesday. De Biasi has included 21 of the 23 players that he took at the recent EURO. Only injured Arlind Ajeti and retired Lorik Cana are missing. In the squad is Macedonia-born Naser Aliji who previously played for the youth national teams of Switzerland.
