Bad news arrive from Athens as Agim Ibraimi, who just got back in training, managed to renew the ankle injury that sidelined him for a while.

Ibraimi was about to get back playing for the season finale in the Kazakh top flight, but today he injured his just recovered ankle. As Astana was preparing for Thursday’s Europa League road clash with Olympiakos, Ibraimi renew the same injury that made him miss the last two months. That happened during the training session in Athens.

That means that he definitely miss the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Spain. He is still to play a game in these qualifiers. Since joining Astana this summer Ibraimi played only 6 league games and 2 in the Champions League qualifications. He failed to score, but recorded 3 assists.
