Elif Elmas in back in Italy as RB Leipzig and Atalanta have reached an agreement for a loan.

Atalanta announced that Elmas comes on loan with the Bergamo based club having the rights to buy him after the end on the 26/27 season. La Dea payed the German side 2 million Euros for the loan deal. He will wear the number 99.

Elmas last season play on loan to Napoli playing a total of 44 matches, scored 1 goal and assisted 4 times.

Atalanta is his third club in Italy as he also played for Torino in the second half-season of 24/25, also on loan from Leipzig.

The Macedonian signed for RB Leipzig in January 2024 for a fee of 24 million Euros from Napoli, but the Bundesliga football proved to be unsuitable for Elmas. He played in 22 matches for Leipzug, but in only 363 minutes.

Atalanta finished 7th in the Serie A last year. They have the opportunity to play in the UEFA Conference League, but they need to get through the qualifying playoffs, where they disappointed in the first match on Thursday, drawing 0:0 in front of their home fans against Hapoel Tel-Aviv, so they will have to win in the return leg.
