Macedonia women’s national team suffered a defeat against Azerbaijan in the last round within the group C3 of World Cup 2027 qualifiers.
Azerbaijan was better team today in Bitola, got the most of the game and chances and deservedly recorded three points. This rejuvenated squad of Macedonia must to improve in the future if they are willing to make better results.
Macedonia finished third in the group with six points, only worse team is Andorra with one point. Hungary will continue in the play-off qualifiers, while Azerbaijan ends this competition on the second place in the group.
