The Macedonian U15 national team finished 10th in the 22nd Torneo delle Nazioni international tournament. The tournament was held from April 25th until May 1st in several towns in Italy, Austria and Slovenia and twelve countries participated in it. The format of this year’s tournament was taken over from the European club competitions. Each national team played 3 matches each, after which, depending on the place achieved in the overall standings, they participated in the final or in a match for the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th or 11th place. In the first three matches Macedonia recorded one win against Moldova and two losses against Wales and Scotland, so depending on the results achieved we played against Wales in the match for the 9th place. Our rival was a much better oponent and secured a comfortable 2:0 win. The conclusion from everything we saw from our national team in this tournament is that coach Stankovski and his staff have hard work ahead of them so that in the future we can be competitive with the higher-quality European teams.
Slovenia won the tournament by beating Czechia in the final.
