Macedonian women to play friendly with Albania

The Macedonian women national team will play a friendly match against the national team of Albania in Pogradec on 22 May.

The women’s national team manager Gorazd Mihailov will make his debut as coach in the friendly against Albania on 22 May at 16:30 CET.  Mihailov called up a squad consisting of 18 players, which does not feature the best player Natasha Andonova, since only players from the domestic championship were called up for this game.

In an interview given to OhridNews, Mihailov pointed out that this qualifications tournament is already lost and the squad is being built for the next cycle.  “I am satisfied of the players, but there is room for improvement.  Although we will play with a somewhat reduced squad, I have told every player that they will have a chance to prove themselves” – Mihailov stated to the newspaper.
