Izair Emini comes out of retirement to help local lower league club

After a year since he retired from playing football, veteran attacker Izair Emini decided to come back in order to help his childhood club Jehona 96.

With more than 200 matches in the Macedonian top flight, now 39-year-old (in October will be 40!) Emini is one of the most memorable domestic league players. He played for Renova, Shkëndija, Voska Sport and Besa 1976 in his homeland Macedonia, while abroad he had spells with Kukësi in Albania and Drita in Kosovo. he retired in May 2024 after helping Besa 1976 win a historic top flight promotion.

Emini will now play for Jehona 96 from the village of Prshovce near Tetovo. It is a club that competes in the league of Tetovo, of the groups in the Macedonian fourth division. Last season they finished 4th and now with experienced Emini in their team they will surely attack the top.
