National team coach Blagoja Milevski talked about the two American-Macedonians currently playing in the MLS and the chance of them wearing the red top in the future.

29-year-old center-forward Danny Musovski scored 13 goals and made 3 assists this season in the MLS playing for Seattle Sounders (currently 4th in the Western Conference), for whom he also played at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. He was contacted by former coach Igor Angelovski, but never came in Macedonia due to the COVID-19 regulations in the USA back in 2020.
“Honestly, I haven’t made contact with Musovski for a simple reason that I think we already have players of such potential.” – Milevski shortly dismissed the chance of ever bringing Musovski in the national team.
Milan Iloski is also center-forward, but is 26-years-old and is playing for Philadelphia Union after previously this season playing for San Diego. This season has scored a total of 11 goals and made 2 assists in the MLS. His team currently sits on top of the joint table of MLS. Unlike for Musovski, Milevski remained open for a future call up for Iloski.
“When it comes to Iloski, he was contacted, I think it was two years ago when he was played in the American second tier. He then made transfer in Nordsjælland, then he came back to the US, then once again got back in Nordsjælland and later again went back to the US. Honestly, because all those relocations I don’t follow him at the moment, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be looked up in the future, or summoned. It depends on him, he need to stabilize himself on one place, to show the potential he has. There are moments when he shows his true potential, but then there are moments when he shows that he is still searching for himself, regarding the position he plays, from what I could see of him in MLS and Nordsjælland. So, we have to wait and see what Iloski will do in the future.”
