The Kavadarci based club informed that they have brought a decision to retire the shirt with number 16 in honor of their former midfielder Andrej Lazarov, who died in the tragic nightclub fire in Kochani.

The 25-year-old Lazarov played for Shkupi this season, but most in his career he wore the red & white colors of Tikvesh. First time he went at Tikvesh to play the second part of the 2018/19 season on loan from Rabotnichki and later extended the loan for the opening half of the following 2019/20 season. He came back to Kavadarci in January 2022 and stayed until the summer of 2023.

For Tikvesh he played a total of 43 league matches scoring 4 goals and adding 11 assists.

Lazarov was born on 8 September 1999, the day of the Macedonian independence. He died in the tragic fire that happened in the early hours of March 16 at the Pulse nightclub in Kochani. As reported, Lazarov managed to get out of the fire, but went back several times to help others escape. He was brought to the hospital in Shtip and initial information was that his was stable, but later he succumbed to the injures of burns and toxic smoke inhalation.
