Alimi, who on February 2 will turn 31, leaves Romanian club Sepsi where he was playing since the summer of 2023. It was there that he got the attention of Macedonian national team coach Blagoja Milevski, debuted for Macedonia and started to be regular – thanks to his good performances.
Dàlián Yīngbó will pay Sepsi 400.000 Euros for his services. Alimi this season played 17 matches in the Romanian SuperLiga, scored 4 goals and assisted twice.
For Macedonia, Alimi so far has earned 13 caps since his debut in September 2023 against Italy in Skopje and has scored 2 goals.
His new team Dàlián Yīngbó last season finished second in the Chinese second league and got promoted in the top flight. The new season in the CSL begins on February 21.
Despite his transfer to the Far East, we hope that Alimi will continue to be regular in the national team as he has proven to be a valuable asset.
