Mijadinoski scored for Debrecen

Defender Mirsad Mijadinoski scored a goal for Debrecen in today’s 5:4 win over Vasas in the Hungarian League Cup.

The 30-year-old CB Mirsad Mijadinoski played the entire game for Debrecen and scored the fifth and final goal for his team in the 71st minute.  At one point, Debrecen had a 4:0 lead but bad goalkeeping brought Vasas back into the game as they scored three consecutive goals to cut the deficit to 4:3.  However, in the 71st minute, Mijadinoski scored a nice goal from close range following a free kick which went off the back of a Debrecen player before the ball reached Mijadinoski who scored the goal.  Vasas added a late goal in the 90th minute to make it 5:4 but Debrecen held on to the slim victory.

Mijadinoski holds passports from both Macedonia and Switzerland but has never been capped by a senior national team.  He has spent most of his career in Switzerland, primarily in the second division, before joining Hungarian club Debrecen in 2009.
