Ivan Trickovski scored his first two goals of the season for APOEL in league play as the defending champions in Cyprus celebrated a 3:0 road victory over Ethnikos Achnas.

Trickovski played all 90 minutes for APOEL and scored two goals in the 56th and 71st minute to hand his team a 3:0 victory over Ethnikos Achnas.  It was the second consecutive game in which Ethnikos manager Cede Janevski saw a Macedonian player score against his team.  Last week, it was Hristijan Kirovski of Apollon while Trickovski scored two goals during today’s game.

In the 56th minute, Trickovski needed two attempts to beat Macedonian keeper Edin Nuredinoski of Ethnikos Achnas.  His first effort with a header was denied but Trickovski scored on the rebound with a shot past Nuredinoski.  Then, in the 71st minute, Trickovski made it 3:0 with a shot that took a deflection of an Ethnikos Achnas defender before going past Nuredinoski to the back of the net.

These were the first two goals for Trickovski in league play this season; although he did score a goal during the Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk.  Ivan scored 11 goals last season so he now has 13 league goals in an APOEL uniform in 32 appearances.
