Lierse needed a penalty kick goal from Mohamed El-Gabbas in the 58th minute to get past Turnhout and advance to the next round of the Belgian Cup.

Ilco Naumoski was not called up by Mattersburg who were eliminated from the competition by the amateur team of Red Bull Salzburg.
