The group Southwest of the third league will feature 12 teams in the new season.
Last season only 9 teams signed up with Jang Team withdrawing on half season. This season Karaorman joined as a relegated team from the second league, but last season’s runners-up Lirija from Grnchari opted not to participate.
The newly promoted teams are 2 local champions:
Sv. Troica from Ohrid (winner of 4.MFL Ohrid)
Veleshta United from Veleshta (winner of 4.MFL Struga)
The winner of 4.MFL Bitola, Old Boys, decided not to seize the occasion and get promoted.
In order to reach at least 12 participants, the league sent invites to all available clubs. Slavej from Meisheishta signed up, although this team did not even played last season. Slavej wanted to join 4.MFL Ohrid after the season had already started, but according to the rules was not allowed, for played only friendly matches.
The 12th participant was not found out anywhere. A new club was formed in Kravari claiming a name of a bookie – Evrotip. Yes, even that is possible in Macedonia – a football club to be named after a betting company. 12 clubs participated in the 4.MFL Bitola last season and none wanted to get promoted. We can only ask the question – why do you play at all?
The new season will kick-off on September 15. At the end of the season the winner will enter a play-off for filling the second league, while the bottom two will get relegated.
