2.MFL East & West concludes half-season

The opening half season in the two second division groups eventually got concluded on Tuesday with four of the five postponed matches due to the snow and rain as the other were played as scheduled on Saturday.

The three match involving the promotion rivals took place as scheduled on Saturday and decided the winter champion. As Sloga fell in Strumica to Belasica, Pobeda with an expected home leveled them at the top and because of a better goal-difference the Prilep based side goes on break as half-season leaders. Sasa also clinched 3 points and is now third but just a point behind the two leaders.

On Tuesday the remaining two matches got played in which Kozhuf beat Bratstvo 07, while Osogovo managed to stay undefeated away to direct relegation rivals Detonit.

Three matches of this group could not be played on Saturday due to the snowfall. However, it was already clear that Sileks is winter champion due to the big lead at the top. Both contenders for the runners-up place went on the fields. Vardar easily defeated Kadino, while Voska Sport beat Besa in a match that got delayed for half an hour as the visitors had problems getting to Ohrid due to the snow.

Later on Tuesday two more matches got played. Teteks managed to celebrate in the Polog derby away to Gostivar and claim important points, while Ohrid took a point at Korabi.

The match in Veleshi again was not played as both teams and the referees concluded that the pitch conditions are not suitable for playing. The FFM is yet to decide the outcome as Veleshta had time to came out with a different venue, but didn’t.
