Pelister won the Pelagonian derby against Pobeda, holders Vardar with a disappointing draw against Shkupi, while Shkendija started by beating Sileks.
Strange circumstances in the Pelagonian derby as Pobeda welcomed Pelister in Bitola instead of Prilep due to the renovation works on their stadium. Pelister used the home field advantage and celebrated a 2:0 win with both goals being scored in the last 15 minutes. Brazilian newcomer and substitute, Lucas Goiano, broke the deadlock just six minutes after coming in, while Bujchevski cemented the win in the injury time.

Same as last season, Vardar started with a disappointing draw. The same opponent that caused the troubles a year ago, did the same again. The holders took the lead after only four minutes of play as the Brazilian Balotelli scored, but Shkupi equalized with a beautiful goal by Mevlan Adili in the 20th minute. Vardar failed to score a winner and even had a penalty kick missed by Kojašević in the 40th minute. Earlier, the same played was brought down in the box by Bujamin Asani, but he only hit the post from the spot.
