There have been quite a few changes in the fourth edition of our power rankings for the First League. Shkendija, Bregalnica and Pelister rose on our list based on their form over the past five games.
The 2014/15 season of the First League is nearing completion. Vardar is only one win away from securing the title, Rabotnichki looks comfortable for the second spot, while ditto for Shkendija when it come to third place. Bottom ranked Teteks has already been relegated, while the most interesting battle until the end of the season be the fight for avoiding direct relegation. Pelister and Turnovo will be competing to avoid 9th place, but 8th place is still no gimme. That leads to a play-off against the third ranked team from the second division. Meanwhile, in-form Bregalnica looks safe in the 7th position to maintain its First League status for next season.
Rank | Team | Record | Comments

4-0-1 | With only one defeat by Rabotnichki, goal scored in stoppage time, Shkendija has been the hottest team lately as they have beaten Vardar, Turnovo, Renova and Sileks.

(↑2) |
3-2-0 | Surprisingly, Bregalnica is second not only due to their two wins in the relegation play-off, but also because they played well even before that. Defense and goalkeeping have been key.

3-1-1 | Vardar still tops the table and it’s only a matter of time before they clinch the title. They lost to Shkendija, and their results have sometimes overshadowed their uninspiring play at times.

3-1-1 | The pride of Bitola seemed destined for relegation, but two wins against Teteks and Turnovo have brought hope for the Green&White team.

(↓4) |
2-2-1 | Rabotnichki, a title contender, failed to get closer to Vardar after losing and drawing to them in two recent games. Rabotnichki looked more dangerous each time, but they were very wasteful in attack.

(↓2) |
1-2-2 | Not too long ago, Renova overtook Shkendija for third place, but that lasted briefly. Renova then hit a run of bad form and dropped to fourth place. Their Europa League participation will depend on Rabotnichki. If that club wins the cup final, then Renova will compete in those qualifications this summer.

1-1-3 | The Kratovo based team already achieved their goal this season by securing a top-6 finish at the end of the regular season. Now, they play relaxed and without much pressure.

0-3-2 | Metalurg has failed to win over the past five games. However, they have played some teams very tough. The thing that hurts them is the lack of experience as they are the youngest team in the Macedonian league.

(↑1) |
0-2-3 | Teteks has already been relegated from league play, but they did reach the domestic cup final by besting Turnovo in one of the semi-finals. Teteks has placed their full focus on the upcoming final as they have started fielding more youngsters in league play.

(↓3) |
0-2-3 | Turnovo is in chaos right now. They recently changed coaches and seem to be in a free fall. Pelister has been the biggest beneficiary of their bad form. Even Teteks beat Turnovo in a head-to-head to reach the cup final.
