The 25-year-old Gjorgjievski was joint top goalscorer in the 1.MFL with 15 goals, together with veteran striker Besart Ibraimi of champions Shkendija. He added 7 assists. His contract with Sileks expired, so he joins CFR on a free transfer. Meanwhile, Sileks announced that they have signed attacker Martin Mirchevski.

“We are happy to announce the first transfer of this summer! Macedonian striker Marko Gjorgjievski is our new player. We welcome you and wish you many successes with CFR Cluj!” – said the Romanian club in a statement.

This is not the first adventure abroad for Gjorgjievski  as in the past he played for Serbian clubs Voždovac and Radnički Pirot.

He is a former youth national team player, but despite being the domestic top goalscorer this past season he was not rewarded with a debut national team call by coach Blagoja Milevski.
