1.MFL overview of Round 5

Akademija Pandev got defeated by Bregalnica, Pelister won the first point by holding Shkendija to a draw, wins for Makedonija GjP and Shkupi. Tikvesh slipped a win to let Struga stay undefeated.

Tikvesh took an early lead through Hristov in the 10th minute, but failed to maintain the lead to the final whistle. Ten minutes from time Skenderi denied the hosts their first seasonal win. Struga remains undefeated.

Eventually Akademija Pandev fall this season. It happened in Shtip where a stunning second half by the Blues shocked the visitors from Strumica. Pandev’s team had the lead on half-time, but the hosts never gave up. First they equalized, then Pandev again took the lead just for Bregalnica to level again and in the injury time to score a winner. It’s their first win this season after 4 draws, which makes them still undefeated.

Entertaining match also was played between the Lions and Borec from Veles. Borec gave a good fight but the hosts had two penalties and at the end a hat-trick hero was their player Adem.

Very interesting match was played in Bitola were holders Shkendija once again disappointed. They took an early lead but Brazilian international Juffo with a free kick and penalty goals turned the result around. Near the end Shala equalized after a great assist by 17-year-old Elezi. The Tetovo visitors missed a clinical opportunity to win when in the dying moment Shala hit the crossbar. Pelister score its first seasonal goals and won the first point, deservedly after putting a great fight.

Shkupi, as expected, had no problems with local rivals Skopje and grabbed an easy win.

The match between Renova and Rabotnichki started with 30 minutes delay as the visitor’s bus broke down halfway on the road from Skopje to Tetovo. at the end these two shared the points both scoring in the first half.
