Vardar opened the second half of the season with a win against Makedonija GjP, while Shkendija responded with a win at Akademija Pandev to stay in the race for the title.

Vardar – Makedonija GjP 3:1 (1:0)
Goals: 37′ Leovigildo, 50′ Djemal Ibishi, 59′ Matej Cvetanovski – 67′ Padú

The first game of this round took place on Saturday. Vardar started bad against very defensive minded visitors Makedonija GjP, but broke the deadlock when Brazilian international scored after a great individual action by Matej Cvetanovski. Ibishi and Cvetanovski made it 3:0 and the visitors were just able to respond with one goal from Padú who netted with a right-footed shot after a long ball by fellow Brazilian Robson came to him in the box.

Akademija Pandev – Shkendija 1:2 (1:1)
Goals: 5′ Daniel Milovanovikj – 23′ Armend Alimi, 55′ (pen) Agim Ibraimi

After Vardar’s win Shkendija was already eleven points behind, but Shkendija came back to an eight points difference with a win away to Akademija Pandev. The hosts opened the score early in the 5th minute through Milovanovikj after Ljupcho Doriev’s assist. Alimi equalized 18 minutes later when he headed home a cross by Agim Ibraimi. In the 55th minutes it was Agim who converted a penalty after Besart Ibraimi was fouled in the box.

Renova – Sileks 0:1 (0:1)
Goal: 44′ Burhan Mustafov

Big win for Sileks away at Renova thanks to a wonderful goal by new winter signing Burhan Mustafov. Sileks continues to surprise and is now kind of far away from the battle against relegation. In the 16th minute Sileks missed a great opportunity to take the lead as home keeper Hadis Velii save a penalty to Kristijan Kostovski.

Shkupi – Borec 2:0 (0:0)
Goals: 80′ Muharem Bajrami, 90’+2 Besar Iseni

Shkupi gained the expected win at home, but had a hard fight against underdog Borec. It was captain Bajrami who opened the score in the 80th minute. In the 2nd minute of stoppage time Iseni netted the final goal of the match.

Struga – Rabotnichki 0:1 (0:1)
Goal: 34′ David Toshevski

Rabotnichki hired a new coach in Serbian Ratko Dostanić and changed a lot of players during the winter transfer window. It seems that it helped as Rabotnichki not just won away their first game of the new year, furthermore the team looked much better compared to the last months. It was youngster Toshevski who netted the game winner then he scored from inside the box after a shot from teammate Nikolche Sharkoski was blocked.

The season continues next weekend and will be opened with the match Borec – Vardar on Saturday, while the other games will take part on Sunday.
