Nigerian full back Abraham Alechenwu has become Vardar’s latest signing by signing a 1.5 year deal.
The 26-year-old left back Abraham Alechenwu, who has spent the majority of his playing career in Albania, is Vardar’s third official signing after Aleksandar Temelkov and Dragan Gjorgiev. Alechenwu signed a contract for 18 months with the defending champions and should provide added depth to the squad in anticipation of the Champions League qualifiers later in the summer.
Alechenwu is a left back who last played for Flamurtari Vlorë. He holds the record of winning the most trophies in Albania as a foreign player. He has won the Albanian Superliga title four times.
Besides Temelkov, Gjorgiev and Alechenwu, Jorge Giménez, a Spanish forward who last played in Lleida, is also expected to sign with Vardar in the next couple of days.
