In the second match of the group stage of the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Italy, the Macedonian national football team was defeated by Türkiye.

Özder Özcan was the most deserving of the triumph of the Turks, scoring a hat-trick. Macedonian players didn’t create any serious scoring chances and most of the time they were defending.

In the first match of our group, Tunisia defeated Morocco and with one round remain in this group, Macedonian chances for qualifying for the semifinals have been reduced to a minimum.

Before the final matches scheduled for Wednesday, the top two places in the group are held Türkiye and Tunisia with 4 points each, while Morocco and Macedonia are in third and fourth position with 1 point each.
