Besart Ibraimi started for Sevastopol and played until the 58th minute when he was substituted by Vladimir Koval. Ibraimi scored the opening goal of the game in the 23rd minute with a shot from distance, although the opposing keeper displayed delayed reflexes and conceded a rather soft goal.

However, Gachevski only played in this game because the #1 keeper Patrick Kostner was serving a red card suspension from last season while the backup keeper Paul Paiduch was out with an injury.

Kristijan Naumovski was an unused substitute for Dinamo Bucureşti as he was the #2 keeper behind Cristian Bălgrădean. It was 1:1 after 90 minutes, 2:2 after 120 minutes, but Dinamo won the Romanian Super Cup by winning 4:2 in the penalty shootout.
