Gjurovski to test domestic league players

FFM will organize a game between two teams compiled only of players who play in the domestic league.

Macedonian national team coach Boshko Gjurovski will have a good opportunity to see the quality of the players who play in the 12 clubs that make up the First League. FFM has arranged a two day gathering (29th and 30th April) when around 30 players will train together and then play a test game. They will be divided into two teams, each lead by the managers of Pelister and Renova, Dragan Bocheski and Kjatip Osmani, respectively. The game, scheduled for Saturday, 30 April, will be held at the pitch “House of Football” near the FFM headquarters in Skopje.

Although Gjurovski is often present at the stadiums across Macedonia, this short session is being organized in order for him to better see the qualities of the best domestic based players in one place, and maybe choose some of them for the national team friendlies in late May and early June (so far the only friendly confirmed is against Cameroon on 26 May).

This idea of playing a game with only domestic based players was brought to our attention during our interview with the late Petar Miloshevski back in February.
