After two delays due to problems with the coronavirus, national team coach Igor Angelovski eventually revealed the squad of 23 players for the upcoming play-off against Kosovo and the two Nations League encounters.

Today Napoli revealed that they have only one positive player after the second tests and sadly for our national team that single individual is Elif Elmas. That means that Macedonia will be without a great player in the important play-off for reaching the EURO.
Goran Pandev is also a problem. He had three negative tests, but since 22 at Genoa tested positive all other must go in quarantine, according to the Italian law. The FFM probably found a way to bring Pandev to Macedonia, maybe through diplomatic relations.
Back in the squad are Ferhan Hasani and Tihomir Kostadinov, while there is a change in one of the keepers with Daniel Bozhinovski being summoned to replace Dejan Iliev who is not playing at all. Angelovski continues to ignore David Mitov Nilsson who is currently our best keeper having in mind that Dimitrievski is also not playing, but sits at the bench at his club. The call for Hasani and Kostadinov is also very strange since both aren’t playing, while there is Ljupcho Doriev who is in great form at Shkendija, but is ignored.
