Rabotnichki is taking on Renova on Sunday and we used this opportunity to ask few question to Vladica Brdarovski of Rabotnichki and Metodija Stepanovski of Renova, both defenders.

This duel is interesting not just because their teams are facing, but also because both players are from Bitola and have played for Pelister together, which is their mother club. Vladica is a right back, while Metodija or shortly Mende is a center back.

Rabotnichki isn’t performing as expected and surprisingly founds it self in the near bottom of the table. When looking at the avvailable squad, it should be among the top teams. What’s wrong with the team?
Vladica: You are right, according the squad we have we should be up there. There is a good atmosphere among the players and everything is going well, but there is one thing that the public isn’t familiar with and that is the fact that this squad was made 5 days before the beginning of the season. We never had preseasonal training sessions together as many players left the team and the new ones came 5 days before the first round. Another important fact is that this team is the youngest in the league and also inexperienced. I believe that we will improve game by game.

Renova is performing variable this season. You let goals easily and you already have 4 defeats. Will you be able to get back on track and fight for the places that lead in the European cups?
Mende: Well yes, we play up and down this season and I think the main reason for this is the fact that we played in the Europa League this summer so the team is in some crisis, but I think after the last game against Bregalnica Shtip things are better and you will see a different Renova now.

Like in every match, your team will strive for victory on Sunday. Why do you think that you can defeat your opponents? What are your advantages and what are the weak points of your opponents?
Vladica: We go for a win! It’s a very important game for us before the upcoming derby against Vardar on Wednesday. Their disadvantage is the fact that they are performing badly on road games, while our advantage is that we play good and I believe it’s time we increase our table points.
Mende: I have no comment on this one.

Both teams are in good shape and are always motivated. What is more important in matches like this one, current form or motivation?
Vladica: The motivation in our teams isn’t low, in fact we are well motivated, we are young and hungry to prove ourselves, we play good, we only lack some luck that we were missing in the last few games as we lost points against Teteks and napredok in the last moments. I will be decisive whoever plays with brain, use the chances (I don’t think there will be many) and win the points. I hope it will be us.
Mende: The experience we have is surely our big advantage, we are far more experienced than them. Also, we are motivated to get a good result here.

What do you think about Mende Stepanovski who will face you in this game?
Vladica: I know Mende personally, he is among the best center backs in the Macedonian First League, if not the best one.

What do you think about Vladica Brdarovski who will face you in this game?
Mende: Ofcaurse I know him, he is one of the best Macedonian young players.
