The Macedonian U20 national team will be part of the 2026 Mediterranean Games in Taranto, where it will face Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey in the group stage.

The team of coach Aleksandar Tanevski is expecting three matches in the group, and the performance in Taranto will be an important international experience for the Macedonian players. Macedonia is in Group A, together with Tunisia, Türkiye and Morocco. The goal in the group stage will be to secure the best possible ranking and a place in the final of the tournament.
