Striker Adis Jahovic, who is coming off a great season with Wil, is drawing interest from Grasshoppers, and helped his cause yesterday when he scored a hat-trick in a friendly between Wil and Grasshoppers.
After scoring 16 goals for Wil this past season in the Swiss second division, Jahovic has been drawing interest with the most often mentioned team being Grasshoppers. Yesterday, Wil and Grasshoppers played a friendly which the former won 3:1 with Jahovic scoring all three goals in the span of four minutes from the 79th to 82nd minute.
The Grasshoppers manager, Uli Forte, confirmed interest in the player after the friendly, “Jahovic is a good striker. He is one of the names that is on our list of potential additions to the team.”
The biggest stumbling block, as in most cases, seems to be money. Jahovic is still under contract with Wil and with his stock rising due to a strong finish this past season, Wil could command too high of a transfer fee that will detract other teams, including Grasshoppers, from bidding on the player.
Adis Jahovic is 25 years old and was born in Skopje. Adis had spent most of his career in Bosnia where he played for three different teams before he joined Wil at the start of the 2011/12 season.
