Gligor Gligorov netted game winner for Tampines

Former Macedonian national team player Gligor Gligorov scored a late game winner for Tampines Rovers to help his club narrowly defeat DPMM 1:0.

This was an important match in Singapore between the top two teams on the table.  Entering the game, Tampines trailed DPMM by six points but Gligorov’s game winner in the 90th minute ensured that Tampines reduced the deficit to just three points.  That proved to be the lone goal of the game in the 1:0 win as Gligorov was also shown a yellow card for removing his jersey in the celebration.

The 25-year-old Gligorov, capped once by the senior national team of Macedonia in a friendly against Iran back in 2009, was once considered a good prospect during his days with Sileks but his career never materialized and he is now under contract with Tampines Rovers from Singapore.
