In the official statement, FFM thanked Milevski and his coaching staff for their work, professionalism and results. They said the national team now needs “a new impulse and fresh energy” for the future.
Milevski was the coach of Macedonia since August 2021. During his time, the team played 48 matches, with 18 wins, 14 draws and 16 losses. Under his leadership, Macedonia reached two World Cup playoff matches, finished first in its Nations League C group, and earned promotion to League B. However, the team also noted the 2 biggest defeats ever – against England and Wales away (7:0 and 7:1). A total of 65 players wore the national team jersey during Milevski’s era.
FFM also confirmed that the name of the new coach will be announced by 25 December 2025. This means that the new coach’s first challenge will be the semi final of the WC Playoff match against Denmark.
This decision marks the end of a four-year period under Milevski. Macedonia will now start a new chapter with a new coach and new ideas for the next cycle.
