The Irish champion showed superiority right from the kick-off when started pressing, but scored after a sloppy save by the home keeper. Since that early lead Shelbourne controlled the game play and added a second goal six minutes before the break. Rabotnichki managed to score for 1:2 a minute from time after Boshnakov did a great job penetrating from left. That was actually the first shot on target for the hosts.
After the break everything went bad for Rabotnichki as the visitors scored three goals in the opening 15 minutes. they added two more until the end for ever higher win since the one in the first leg in Dublin. Despite the high defeat, captain Nikola Manojlov did good at this match, being the most active in his team.
