Veteran striker Riste Naumov will be on trial at České Budějovice where he will look to get his career back on track following a serious leg injury.
České Budějovice will provide Riste Naumov an opportunity to get his playing career back on track following a serious leg injury in March of 2010. Naumov has had numerous setbacks since that time but České Budějovice offered him a trial where they will test his abilities and playing shape. The serious injury occurred while Naumov was playing for Slavia Praha and Riste has been rehabbing since that time. Naumov recently played several games for the Slavia Praha B team but has now decided to accept a trial with another Czech club in České Budějovice.
The 30-year-old Naumov has been playing in the Czech Republic since the summer of 2008. Riste performed well with Viktoria Žižkov during the 2008-2009 season and his form during the year led to an eventual transfer to Slavia Praha. However, everything changed in March of 2010 when Naumov broke his tibia and fibula. That injury sidelined him for months but Riste told České Budějovice’s official website that he rushed back from the injury and that led to a setback. He was forced to have another surgery so Naumov ended up being out of action for 18 months.
České Budějovice will test his playing shape and whether he can help the club during the second half of the season. České Budějovice is currently in 13th place out of 16 teams in the Czech top division with 13 points after 16 rounds. The club has scored 17 goals in those games.
