Macedonian national team coach Blagoja Milevski today announced the list of summoned players for the closing 2024 EURO qualifying matches against European giants Italy and England.

Macedonia lost its chances with the defeat by Ukraine away last month, but nevertheless will now have to match the top two teams from the last EURO – holders Italy and finalists England.

For that occasion coach Milevski summoned 25 players. Back in the team is midfielder Tihomir Kostadinov, who was almost two years absent from the national team due to a leg injury. Ljupcho Doriev and Valon Ethemi have been left out from the October squad, while Ilija Nestorovski and Dorian Babunski are once again ignored.

Gjoko Zajkov, the central defender that injured his back while playing against Malta, is still dealing with the injury.

The national team will gather on 13 November in Skopje and will held several training sessions. On Friday the 17th at 20.45 CET is the match against Italy at the Olimpico stadium in Rome. Three days later, on the 20th (Monday) Macedonia will host England at the National Arena Todor Proeski in Skopje, also at 20.45 CET.
