This Day In History

1944 Damjan "Dane" Krapchev, founding father of Rabotnichki, was killed in a WW2 combat at mount Plachkovica by the Bulgarian nazi occupiers during his heroic struggle for liberation of Macedonia.

1998 Vardar won its third Cup title after defeating Sloga Jugomagnat with 2:0 in the final of the 1997/98 Macedonian Cup played in Skopje.

2001 Pelister won its first Cup trophy after celebrating a 2:1 victory over Sloga Jugomagnat in the 2000/01 Macedonian Cup final played in Skopje.

2004 Sloga Jugomagnat claimed its third Cup title after defeating Napredok with a lone goal in the 2003/04 Macedonia Cup final played in Skopje.

2005 Bashkimi won its only Cup title after defeating Madjari Solidarnost with 2:1 in the 2004/05 Macedonian Cup final played in Skopje.

2006 In a clash between two Cup final debutantes Makedonija GjP won the title after defeating Shkëndija 79 3:2 with a stoppage time winner in the 2005/06 Macedonian Cup final.

2007 Vardar won its fifth Cup title after defeating Pobeda 2:1 in the 2006/07 Macedonian Cup final played in Skopje.

2008 Rabotnichki won its first Cup title after defeating Milano, also a Cup final debutante, with 2:0 in the 2007/08 Macedonian Cup final played in Skopje.

2009 Rabotnichki claimed its second Cup title after defeating Makedonija GjP with 6:5 on penalties in the 2008/09 Macedonian Cup final played in Skopje.

2011 Metalurg won its first and only Cup title after celebrating a 2:0 win over Teteks in the 2010/11 Macedonian Cup final played in Prilep.
