The club founded just 8 years ago today clinched its first title as champion of the Macedonian top flight.

With a comfortable 3:0 win over fourth-placed Sileks, Struga sealed the table top with two round left. The hosts broke the visiting defense four minutes from the brake when league top goalscorer and former national team player Besart Ibraimi scored. After the break captain Bunjamin Shabani converted a penalty kick, while in the 79th minute the same played sealed the win.
The result from Skopje where Shkupi beat Shkendija two once was in favor of Struga as a defeat for then runners-up Shkendija ment Struga would become champion.
The town of Struga, after Skopje, Kratovo, Prilep and Tetovo, is only the fifth town that gives a champion.
Struga is from the town with the same name on the northern shored of the Ohrid Lake. The club was formed not long ago, in 2015 on initiative of the Trim & Lum company. The 2015/2016 was their first season in the 4.MFL Struga when they easily won that league and got promoted. In their first season as a third divisional club they claimed the 3.MFL Southwest and went into the then 2.MFL West. There they needed two season to win promotion and since 2019/20 they are in the top flight. In their fourth season as elite league side they win the most valuable Macedonian football title.
Struga will represent Macedonia in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers this summer. They will play their matches at the Atina Bojadji stadium with the Biljanini Izvori sport complex in nearby city of Ohrid.
Struga will also feature in the Cup final on May 20.
