Nase Taksi finished second in Group 1

Nase Taksi concluded the women’s Champions League qualifying with a convincing 6:0 victory over Goliador.

The women’s club Nase Taksi finished on a high note during Champions League qualifying by notching an easy win over Moldovan side Goliador.  Captain Shireta Brahimi scored a hat-trick for Nase Taksi while Andreevska, Stankovska, and Naceva added one goal apiece during the decisive win.  Nase Taksi ultimately finished second in Group 1 with six points, one point behind Young Boys who topped the group with seven points.  The biggest achievement for Nase Taksi was defeating Greek club PAOK with the score of 1:0 in the previous game.

Despite finishing second second in the group, Nase Taksi was eliminated from the Champions League qualifications.  The eight group winners along with the two best runners-up, which did not include Nase Taksi, will compete in the group stages of the Champions League.  Despite barely missing out, Nase Taksi positively represented women’s football in Macedonia and the ladies should be proud of their performance.

Nase Taksi played with the following players: Vitanova (87′ Doneva), Sakiri, Georgieva, Mileska, Rochi ( 62′ Dukova), Andreevska, Brahimi (c), Stankovska (87′ Bogleva), Spirovska, Naceva, Kostova.

1. Young Boys – 7 points
2. Nase Taksi – 6 points
3. PAOK – 4 points
4. Goliador – 0 points
