The 19 year old Stefan Ristovski will play in the Italian third division next season as he was loaned by Parma to Foggia in order to gain more experience.
As the official website of Foggia reports, the club has agreed to terms with thirteen players including Stefan Ristovski who comes to Foggia from the Parma Primavera team. Ristovski is expected to be the starting RB for Foggia this upcoming season as they have the ambition to get promoted to Serie B. Stefan is no longer eligible to play for the Primavera team since he was born in 1992 and for next season, a player has to be born in 1993 or later to be eligible for the Primavera teams. Regardless, it is disappointing that Parma sent Ristovski on loan to a Lega Pro Prima Divisione club instead of a Serie B club or a lower ranked Serie A club where the competition would be much better.
Ristovski was born in Skopje and started his career with Vardar before he moved to Parma soon after he turned 18. During this past season, Ristovski was a regular for the Parma Primavera team and usually started at RB although he has the ability to play other positions. Stefan is the captain of the Macedonian U19 national team and has also been summoned to both the Macedonian U21 team and also the senior national team as Ristovski was called up for the EURO 2012 qualifier against Ireland earlier this month. He was an unused substitute for that game but Ristovski is viewed as an important player for the future. Although he plays RB for his club team, Ristovski is used at right midfield or as a winger for the youth national teams of Macedonia.
