Coach Dragan Kanatlarovski made just one change compared two the game against France as he started Maksimov instead of Vosha. Again the team played a 4-3-3 formation.
In the first half Serbia was the better team, the young Lions were mainly in defense. Serbia even had a penalty in the 36th minute, but goalie Denkovski saved the shot and also the following opportunity from the reflected ball. Only in the last minutes of the half Macedonia had some moments in the offense.
