The Macedonian Ministry of health brought a decision all players to be tested for COVID-19 72 hours before every match and the costs for the test to be payed by the clubs. That is the main reason for postponing the upcoming round.

Macedonian top flight club may somehow financially endure these unplanned costs, but that doesn’t stand for the clubs that participate in the lower amateur leagues and even the semipro second league.

Yesterday two third league groups (West and Southwest) announced that they won’t be playing this weekend, while today the Football federation of Macedonia announced that all domestic matches, even the top flight, are postponed for next weekend.

The FFM has issued a complaint to the Ministry of health to change this protocol that will kill the domestic football and hopes are high that next weekend the leagues will continue.
