The new season in the third level started today with the groups Southwest and Center.

Some changes have been made regarding the promotion of the western groups. Since the two second league groups will be reduced to 8 teams from next season, the winners of the third leagues North, West and Southwest won’t be directly promoted but will enter a group play-off to determine the two available promotion spot. However, the winners of the eastern groups will get directly promoted because of the fact that the group East won’t be played. The teams from the East will participate in the Southeast group, meaning that there will be only two groups.

Southwest:

Newcomers to the league are two teams that are getting back after 5 seasons of playing on lower levels. Makedonija from the village of Vranishta got promoted after winning the 4.MFL Struga, while Strela from Mogila won the 4.MFL Bitola. In two years Strela climbed two tiers as in 2017/18 they won the 5.MFL Bitola. Third newcomer is Debrca from Belchishta who were waiting 11 years to get back here.

Oktisi got relegated last season after finishing at the bottom, but they got repechaged as Lakocherej withdrew due to financial problems.

Center:

There were few problems in this group prior to the beginning. Second league relegated Partizan decided not to play after facing financial penalty as well as deduction of 3 points for not appearing on a match last season. Instead, they gave their place to Obrshani, a team from the same village as Partizan. Babuna also withdrew but due to financial problems.

Newcomers are Vardar from Negotino, relegated from the 2.MFL East. Also there are Lokomotiva from Gradsko, Dinamo from Mazhuchishte and Gaber from Kavadarci. Lokomotiva is back after the 2003/04 season when the quit after few rounds, Gaber comes back after one season in fourth level, while Dinamo is making their third league debut.
