Macedonian First League – Round 25

Makedonija - PobedaBecause of the Orthodox Easter, all matches from the 25th round of the Macedonian first league were played today. Makedonija, Renova, Milano and Rabotnicki won at home as expected, while Metalurg defeated Sileks in Kratovo.

Makedonija Gjorce Petrov – Pobeda Prilep 3:0 (1:0)

As expected, leaders Makedonija defeated shocked Pobeda with an easy 3:0.
The hosts didn't put much effort on the pitch and still managed to gain an easy win and hold the seven points lead in front of Renova. Makedonija had their first scoring chance in the 15th chance when Gabonese player Popol Kiende shot in the lower corner from the left side, but Božić saved. Four minutes later, Brnjarcevski sent a cross from the right side to Kleckaroski in the box, who missed the ball and failed to score. In the 25th minute, Popol took a free kick from the right side which went to Milevski who sent a direct header kick to goalkeeper Božić's head after which he felt on the ground and had to be substituted by Aleks Vrteski. Makedonija finally took lead in the 37th minute when Lena took a free kick from the right side and Mojsov headed the ball to Blagoja Milevski who scored the opening goal. Makedonija had the chance to double the lead in the last moments of the first half when after a cross from the right, Popol tried to flick that ball towards the goal but it went next to the post.
Five minutes in the second half, Lena sent a long shot but blocked it in corner kick. In the 60th minute, Jusufovski didn't accept the ball well in the box, Ilievski stole it and assisted to Nikolce Kleckaroski in front of the goal, who scored for 2:0. One of the best players on the match, Nijazi Lena had another scoring chance in the 65th minute but Vrteski managed to save his nice turn volley shot. The domination by Makedonija can be seen by the fact that Pobeda had their only serious chance in the 83rd minute when Stanojlovic shot from the right side, but Pavlović saved his kick. One minute before the end, Popol got throug from the right side and found Mirko Ivanovski in the box who scored the final goal on this match.
Makedonija is still undefeated at home, while this was Pobeda's 10th away defeat this season and seventh in row.

Renova Dzepciste – Napredok Kicevo 3:0 (3:0)

An easy win for Renova after the absolute domination over Napredok. The hosts displayed their domination right on the start of the match when in the first minute Ismaili and Emini had chances to score, but they both hot the post of Napredok's goal. After the numerous chances, Renova scored the opening goal in the 24th minute when Ismaili sent a cross to Ali who only assisted Vulnet Emini in the box for 1:0. In the 33rd minute, Emini found Zvonimir Stanković in the box who doubled the lead. Only two minutes later, another assist by Emini, this time to Vančo Trajčov who scored the third goal with a header kick.
After the domination in the first half, the hosts lowered the pace in the second half and controlled the match and held the lead, with no big excitements until the end of the match.

Rabotnicki Skopje – Horizont Turnovo 3:1 (1:1)

Rabotnicki started aggressively towards Turnovo's goal, but the guests also tried to use their chances. After the pressure by Rabotnicki in the first 15th minutes, Turnovo went more forward and also threatened towards Rabotnicki's goal. In the 32nd minute, Turnovo stunned the hosts when after a corner kick from the right side, Daniel Kovacev took Turnovo in 0:1 lead. But Turnovo's surprise lasted for only 12 minutes because in the 44th minute Wandeir assisted his compatriot Fabio Silva who equalized the score.
Turnovo's chances didn't stop in the first half, as in the 52nd minute the captain Tenekeđiev hit the cross-bar. Rabotnicki finally took the lead in the 61st minute Ze Carlos Filho accepted the ball on the edge of the box and sent a nice shot in Turnovo's net. Only two minutes later, Rabotnicki sealed the win when Silva assisted Wandeir in the box who didn't find it hard to score and sent the final 3:1.
With this win, Rabotnicki made the only movement on the Macedonian league table and took over the 4th position in front of Vardar because of the better goal deference.

Sileks Kratovo – Metalurg Skopje 0:3 (0:2)

Sileks noted their first home defeat this season. The result could be surprising by the look of the table, but it's not a surprise knowing the changes in Metalurg in the second part of the season.
The few hundred fans in Kratovo saw in interesting match with chances on both sides. In the 30th minute of the match, Blaze Ilijoski scored the opening goal after a fast counter attack. Ten minutes later, after a mistake by Sileks' defence, one of their defenders had to play with his hand to stop Metalurg's attack and the referee whistled for a penalty kick. Ilijoski took the kick and scored his second goal. Gligorov had two good chances to score for Sileks, but he hit the post in the first and lobbed above the goal in his second attempt.
In the second half, the scorer of the first two goals, Ilijoski, assisted to Velkoski who scored the final goal with a shot from 17 meters. Sileks had the last chance to lower the defeat in the 79th minute, but Markovski's header only hit the cross-bar.
