Macedonia U17 finished second in the UEFA Development Tournament held in Serbia after losing 10:0 in the final.
Macedonia U17 was able to get past Bulgaria in the semi-finals on penalties and thus reached the finals where they squared off against Serbia who defeated Albania in the other semi-final matchup. However, the final was not much of a contest as Serbia won 10:0 to claim the top prize in a match played at the training center of the Serbian football association in the town of Stara Pazova.
Serbia led 6:0 at halftime and added four more goals after the break. The match was even attended by UEFA President Michel Platini and delegations from several countries in the Balkan region. The Serbian football association decided to name the main pitch of its training center after Platini.
