Dorian Babunski heading to Grasshoppers

Dorian Babunski could continue his career in Swiss side Grasshoppers.

Debrecen’s top scorer of the last season and Macedonian international Dorian Babunski could soon be leaving Hungary and move on to Switzerland. Babunski is not in the starting line-up for Debrecen today and Hungarian media reports that he is very close to leaving Debreceni.

Nemzeti Sport reports that the Hungarian side has received a generous offer from Grasshoppers and it is looking likely that the offer will be accepted. So far, an official confirmation has not been provided by any side, though.

Babunski was once part of the Real Madrid youth school. When he turned pro, he had couple of unremarkable seasons in Spain and Slovenia, before making a move in Japan. He has since returned in Europe and had excellent spells with Botev Vratsa in Bulgaria and latest with Debrecen in Hungary where last season he was the top scorer of the club and voted player of the season. He has guided his side to third place and a spot in UEFA Conference League qualification stage.
