Polish champions Wisła Kraków are reportedly showing interest in signing Macedonian central back Boban Grncarov.
Wisła Kraków has already clinched the title in Poland as they have a 10 points advantage over second place Śląsk Wrocław with only three league games remaining until the end of the season. According to Polish newspaper sport.onet.pl, Wisła Kraków is looking for reinforcements at CB as they get ready to strengthen their team for Champions League qualifying. Wisła Kraków has reportedly scouted Grncarov extensively and has been pleased with his performances.
Boban Grncarov spent two wonderful years with Cypriot giants APOEL and his goal was to remain with the current champions of Cyprus but the two sides could not agree on a new contract. Grncarov felt he deserved a pay raise but APOEL was looking to cut costs after spending heavily on new players last summer and was not willing to match what Grncarov was seeking.
Grncarov is a big defender who is very good in the air and even scored six goals this past season for APOEL, all on headers. Grncarov has Champions League experience as APOEL reached the group stages in 2009-2010 and Grncarov played in all six games of group play against the likes of Chelsea, Porto, and Atlético Madrid.
